Who We Are
MKT Rugs is a B2B manufacturer and global exporter of handcrafted natural-fibre rugs - jute, sisal and seagrass - based in Gopalnagar, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, India. Founded as Maa Kali Traders in 2008 by Prabir Sarder, the company began as a 10-tonne hand-spun jute yarn unit supplying Indian exporters, before evolving into integrated carpet manufacturing in 2017 for top Indian Carpet Exporters. In 2025, MKT Rugs was launched as a subsidiary for global B2B export, led by Rahul Sarder.
Our supply chain strength lies in end to end fully integrated cycle starting from procurement of raw fibres from farmers, to in-house skilled workers weaving braids and yarns, to artisans crafting fine handmade Rugs and Carpets.
Today, our network spans 100+ in-house artisans, 100+ weavers, 150+ workers, and an extended community of 5000+ skilled women hand-spinning yarn across rural Bengal. We hold ISO 9001:2015 certification and are members of the Jute Products Development & Export Promotion Council (JPDEPC), National Jute Board ( NJB ) and Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC) under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India - shipping to importers, designers, and hospitality groups across 14+ countries on five continents.
